David Marasigan specializes in providing ballroom lessons for beginners, wedding couples, social dancers, and competitors in a fun and friendly environment. Dancing provides an amazing outlet for expression and connection with others. Moving with another person in sync with music, feeling the lead and follow, is a conversation you can have without words while still conveying your emotion, attitude, and personality. It’s never too late to learn to dance. Young or old, with two left feet or two right, learning to dance ballroom is rewarding, social and fun. Learn as a couple or by yourself, you’re guaranteed to make new experiences, meet new friends, and gain a new sense of confidence on the dance floor. Ballroom can be easy and social, all the way to energetic and competitive. It leaves a lasting impression at your wedding, and gives you stories to tell for years to come.

Beautiful, Romantic, and Stress Free
Your wedding day is filled with memories that last a lifetime. Let your first dance be one of it’s highlights. I’ll be honoured to teach you and your fiancé how to take to the floor with confidence and style.
We can teach a variety of dances including Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Quickstep, Samba, Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive, Salsa and Swing. Not only will we choreograph your dance, but we will personalize it to suit your chosen song, your ability level and your expectations.
Why should I take dance lessons for my wedding?
For most wedding receptions, there is a transition from the formal sit-down events of the evening, such as the dinner and speeches, to the more informal dance party at the end of the evening. It is customary for you, the Bride & Groom, to be the first couple on the dance floor…
I want to take dance lessons, but my fiancé is against the idea. What can I do?
The idea of dance lessons is often a very foreign idea to many people here in Vancouver. It’s just not part of our culture. Many people look at TV shows such as ‘Dancing With the Stars’ or ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ and say that there’s no way they would want to do that. However, dance lessons for your wedding dance don’t have to be that intense; they can be totally different…
I can’t dance to save my life. Will dance lessons even help at all?
Without a doubt, dance lessons can help anyone, especially for those who feel that dance doesn’t come naturally to them. Will you become the next Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers? Probably not, but then again that’s probably not your goal for your wedding…

Should I take private or group lessons?
If you just want a basic introduction to ballroom dancing and want to do it socially with friends, a group class would be most appropriate for you. If you are more driven and detail-oriented with your approach to dancing, then private lessons would be more suitable…
I don’t have a partner, what class can I take?
You can join any of our group classes as a single or take private lessons. All of our group classes welcome singles. If there are any other singles in our group, you can always pair up with them, or you can just learn the steps on your own…
I watch ‘Dancing With the Stars’ and I’m totally excited. What should I do?
If you’re super-motivated and want to excel at the fastest rate possible, private lessons are definitely the way to go. The one-on-one individualised attention does wonders for your understanding, your body awareness and your overall development…

For The Love & Passion of Dance
I believe ballroom dance connects people together in a way no other social activity can. Through artistry, through passion, and through love. Ballroom for me has become a way of life. On and off the floor it has given me many opportunities to experience and achieve goals I wouldn’t have thought possible. Being part of a community that has brought me so many friends and so much love over the years, I want to share these experiences with you.
Shows
Bring ballroom to your guests, and they'll never forget it!
Do you want to entertain your guests like the hit TV shows ‘Dancing with the Stars’ or ‘So You Think You Can Dance’? I can help bring the excitement and entertainment of ballroom dancing to your next party, wedding or special event. The possibilities are endless! In collaboration with the Broadway Ballroom and JC Dance Co, I can help present anything from a simple, fun and interactive beginner dance lesson to kick off the evening, to a full-on dance production with multiple couples.
