I believe ballroom dance connects people together in a way no other social activity can. Through artistry, through passion, and through love. Ballroom for me has become a way of life. On and off the floor it has given me many opportunities to experience and achieve goals I wouldn’t have thought possible. Being part of a community that has brought me so many friends and so much love over the years, I want to share these experiences with you.

My Story
For two years my brother bugged me to start ballroom until I finally gave in and joined a youth class in 1999. Before long, I found myself involved in local competitions, and many community events from putting on demonstrations to being a guest teacher at my own high school…

David is extremely patient with his teaching in private lesson instruction and very knowledgeable. He has had many years of experience and is always upgrading his own skill to become the very best that he can be which I really admire in an instructor. David always makes the lessons fun and explains things in different ways so you can truly understand. Thank you David for helping me grow and be the best that I can be with my own personal journey in dance.

Sonia and I have had the great pleasure of experiencing some group dance lessons for beginners with David instructing us. This is a very fun taste of a number of ballroom dances that we would recommend attending Davids classes to anyone. Great music with the huge added benefit of a physical, mental and emotional workout. We’ll be taking more lessons and I think we are going to have to invite our friends to join us.

I was paired with David for a charity fundraiser, Richmond Dancing with the Stars in March. David taught me our winning cha cha dance routine over a six week period. Since our win I have continued to take lessons with David. He is a kind, understanding and patient teacher. He is able to explain the dance steps clearly while allowing you to learn at your own pace. He knows when it is time to push you a little past your comfort zone to the next level. I highly recommend David as a dance instructor.

My husband and I are attending David’s beginner dance classes in the North Shore. It is our first time taking dance lessons and we are greatly enjoying them! David is a great teacher!!! He explains the dance steps clearly, several times, and offers tips on how to achieve proper posture and rhythm, on how to lead and follow, etc. We’ve come a long way, very quickly. =) We will continue attending David’s classes, and highly recommend anyone to give them a try, it’s lots of fun!
