With the weather warming up, our spring ballroom dance schedule is looking great! There are so many events to attend in the next couple of months and listed below are the ones not to be missed:

Crystal Ballroom Grand Opening
The Crystal Ballroom has moved! Originally located on SW Marine Drive in Vancouver, they have a brand new facility located on River Road in Richmond! The new facility boasts three dance floors over two levels. Although the doors have already been open since the beginning of the year, the dust of construction has finally settled, and the edges polished off, so it’s time to bring in the public for the official opening celebration. They day will be split up into two parts featuring FREE beginner classes during the day, as well as a dinner dance in the evening. For more information, please visit: www.crystalballroom.ca

VBDS – Pacifica Ball
The Victoria Ballroom Dance Society is at it again with their Pacifica Ball competition! Hosted in a new venue for 2016 just steps away from the historic Empress Hotel, this is definitely a destination event to attend. Along with a full day of competitive events, the evening session will feature showcase performances by World Cup 10-Dance winner and 7-time undefeated Canadian Standards, Latin, & 10-dance champions Anton and Antoaneta, as well as former Canadian Showdance, Smooth, and Rhythm Champions Egor and Alla. JC Dance Co – Spring Fling
Every month JC Dance Co. organizes a social dance perfect for the beginner dancer! Hosted at the Broadway Ballroom, these dances start with an introductory lesson to get your feet moving, and continue with mixer games and student spotlights throughout the evening. NBDS – Island Fantasy Ball
The Nanaimo Ballroom Dance Society proudly presents the 24th Annual Island Fantasy Ball! This ballroom dance competition is one of the most important in the competitive ballroom dance season as it’s the BC Closed Championships. Many couples from all over the province will be vying for top their spots in their respective categories.
